UIBE administers the Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship (北京市政府奖学金, the Beijing Municipal Foreign Students Scholarship) for newly admitted self-funded degree students. The award is tuition support in two grades: a full award of 20,000 RMB per year for bachelor's students, 30,000 for master's and 40,000 for doctoral students, and a partial award of 10,000 / 15,000 / 20,000 RMB per year. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students included), law-abiding with no criminal record and no disciplinary record, with good grades, and aged no more than 30 (bachelor's), 35 (master's) or 40 (doctoral). Applications open after the student is admitted and has paid tuition: the form and documents are emailed to [email protected] with the subject '北京市政府奖学金申请+学生姓名+护照号' between October 31 and November 15, and results are announced at the end of November. UIBE's 2026 new-student winner list (published 2026-09-24, classes A/B/C) shows the scheme still running.
