The China Academy of Art Scholarship for Foreign Students is CAA's own award for international students already enrolled on a self-funded basis. It pays CNY 40,000 a year to doctoral students, 30,000 to master's students, 20,000 to undergraduates, 20,000 to calligraphy and painting visiting students and 6,000 to language visiting students, and the number of places is set each year. Applicants must be registered self-funded CAA students who have not held the university's new-student scholarship, have paid the year's fees and meet the age limits. Applications are reviewed each March.
