Guangxi Minzu University runs its own Guangxi Minzu University International Student Scholarship (广西民族大学来华留学生奖学金) for full-time bachelor's students, separate from the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Guangxi Government ASEAN Students Scholarship. In the 2024 guide the award is a pure tuition waiver — 12,000 RMB a year for humanities, 15,000 RMB a year for science and engineering and 18,000 RMB a year for arts and sport — with no living allowance, and accommodation (single 10,000 / double 6,000 / four-person 3,000 RMB a year), medical insurance, textbooks and other costs paid by the student. Applicants need a high-school diploma or equivalent with an excellent record and are normally no more than 25 years old; Chinese-taught applicants need HSK level 4 (180) while English-taught applicants need IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 70 or equivalent. They apply on the university's own scholarship form by e-mail, and the 2024 cycle closed on 2024-06-30.
