UMBC offers a range of general merit scholarships to in-state, out-of-state, undocumented, DACA, and international students — four-year awards from $1,000 to $15,000 per year, with freshmen applicants considered automatically. UMBC also participates in the #YouAreWelcomeHere national scholarship program: two annual, renewable scholarships for up to four years covering 50% tuition at initial matriculation, open to first-year international students. Scholarship eligibility is based on cumulative averages, SAT/ACT scores (if provided), individual grades, and high school programs.
