Peking University

Funding for international students at Peking University comes from three levels, and most applicants end up using one of them. The first is the Chinese Government Scholarship, the national CSC scheme for which Peking is a designated host, applied for through the CSC portal rather than through the university. The second is the Beijing Government Scholarship, a municipal award that Peking administers for its own international students; it has two tiers, one that covers full tuition, accommodation, a living allowance and insurance, and one that covers tuition partially. The third is Peking University's own scholarship for international students, which covers tuition and a monthly stipend.

The three channels follow different calendars and are not mutually exclusive, although in practice most students hold one rather than stacking several. Peking's International Students Division publishes the current application notices for all of them on its official pages, and that is also where you confirm which category you fall into, since the municipal and university awards distinguish between degree levels and between new and continuing students.
