The American University in Cairo

The American University in Cairo is a private, American-style university, and its funding follows that model: aid is decided at admission, mostly from the same application, and it comes in two forms. Need-based aid is built from the family's financial situation and is available to international students, while merit awards recognize strong academic records. The long list of endowed scholarships below sits on top of both, and many of those are restricted to a nationality, faculty or field, so the eligibility line on each card decides whether an award is open to you.

Graduate students at AUC meet a third layer. Research and teaching assistantships fund a meaningful share of master's and doctoral students, and departments award these directly, so the practical question for a graduate applicant is which assistantship your program has to offer. AUC also administers fellowships for specific fields and partner-funded awards.

Because most AUC funding is admission-linked, the deadline that matters is the application deadline for your term, shown on each card's official page. The university's financial aid site, reachable from every card below, restates the current categories each year, and endowed scholarships often have separate application steps on top of admission, so read the linked page before assuming one application covers everything.
