Bristol is one of the most popular and successful universities in the UK, ranked 8th in the UK and 57th in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2027 .
Official WebsiteAdmission PortalListing data last updated 3 November 2026.
Bristol's main international funding is its Think Big program, which runs separate undergraduate and postgraduate rounds for students from outside the UK. Think Big awards are fee waivers of fixed amounts, they are competitive and application based, and they apply to the September intake, so the April application deadline in the current cycle is one to plan around if you are considering Bristol.
Outside Think Big, Bristol's funding is thinner and more dispersed. The records below include choral and organ scholarships, college and faculty awards, and donor funds with narrow eligibility, several of them aimed at UK students or at specific programs. Doctoral students are funded through UK research council studentships and faculty awards, with most funded places attached to projects rather than open competitions.
Because the Think Big rounds and the smaller awards follow completely different calendars, the deadline on a card tells you which track you are looking at. Bristol's international scholarships pages, linked from each card, state the current rounds and amounts, and that is where you confirm eligibility before you spend time on an application.
