Chinese Government Scholarship — Bilateral Programme (Type A) at Wuhan University of Technology (2026)

China Scholarship Council / Wuhan University of Technology🇨🇳 ChinaDeadline: Varies by programme

WUT takes part in the Chinese Government Scholarship Bilateral Programme (Type A, 国别双边项目), the full or partial scholarship the Ministry of Education establishes under educational exchange agreements. It supports undergraduate (4-5 years of major study, aid 4-7 years), master's (3 years, aid 3-5), doctoral (4 years, aid 4-6), general-scholar and senior-scholar categories, with up to two years of Chinese-language preparation inside the aid period; undergraduates must register for Chinese-taught credit courses, while graduate and non-degree students may take English-taught programmes in the majors WUT offers that way. Neither CSC nor WUT accepts Type A applications directly — candidates apply to the dispatching authority of their own country, generally between early January and early April, naming WUT as first choice, and WUT issues a pre-admission letter within five working days to those who also file in its admission system ([email protected]) — that letter is what places a candidate at WUT. English-medium applicants normally need IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 80. Living-allowance standards are 2,500 / 3,000 / 3,500 RMB a month for bachelor's, master's and doctoral students.
